The longtail in the foreground sports an 8 cylinder automobile engine, with automatic transmission,
mounted on a pivot. Shafts stick out both front and back of the engine. At the end of the rear drive
shaft is a propeller which the operator, holding the other shaft, raises and lowers into the water.
The pivot allows the operator point the thrust of the propeller within an arc spanning more than 300
degrees. There's video of it coming.
