One positive aspect to all the smoke hanging in the atmosphere: great sunsets. We got to this viewpoint just moments too late to catch the best of this one.

The buildings below are part of a police check-point. Tourists and regular traffic just barrel on through but all buses must stop so the driver can inform the police if any accidents or road hazards need looking after.
